The range of tasks undertaken within our preferred
database programming language is too wide and extensive for inclusion in
any one list.
The following is an abbreviated list of those that we
have had direct input to and would appear to be typical of a range of
client needs.

Numerous times, data has been imported from non
dBASE software, cleansed and exported back or used within a
new database - dBASE is particularly useful of this task

Databases have been upgraded from earlier versions of dBASE to be
compatible with modern 32 bit Windows based systems, and gain the full
facilities of the new environment

Data held
within Sage Accounts ®
has been accessed via ODBC from dBASE to produce simple graphs and
analysis similar to the clients earlier records held on spreadsheets

An expenses
database for a large multi-national organisation allowing for in depth
analysis of travel, subsistence and a range of other important expenses

A marketing
database was constructed that accepted student enquiries for a English
for Foreign Students School, this allowed for conversion rates to
clients, registers for classes, mail shots, etc.

The School
Governors Database was developed in order to gather and record in one
place the many actions that governors undertook on behalf of the school
as evidence of involvement for Ofsted and other inspections.
